OUR BOARD MEMBERS

DTF - Cardunal Community Cares Board Members do not receive compensation, and they volunteer their time and resources.

Community Director

Sue Berna is a long time resident of Dundee Township. Sue is the proprietor of Lady Bug Lane. 

Community Director 

Alan Evans has spent many years as an electrical engineer in the elvator and material handing industry. He has also held sales positions and served as the president of a forklift manufacturing company. Since, 1993, he and his wife have lived in the Dundee Township area. Having been the president of his local homeowner's association for many years, Alan brings his extensive knowledge as a valuable member of the foundation and looks forward to working with the Condo Owners Association within the property owned by the foundation. Additionally, he volunteers for the Cardunal Community Cares Food Pantry and enjoys delivering the food to community residents.  

Community Director and 2024-2025 Board Secretary

Chris Evans has dedicated almost 50 years to teaching and consulting in education. She and her husband, Alan, have been residents of Dundee Township for 31 years and have a deep affection for their community. Chris serves as a CASA and is the board secretary for the Fox River Valley Public Library District. Both Chris and Alan strongly believe in the community's responsibility to care for and appreciate all of its residents. They have volunteered at the Cardunal Community Cares Food Pantry for four years.

Founding Member and 2024-2025 Board Treasurer

Trish Glees has lived and volutneered in the Dundee Community since 2003. She brings to the foundation a Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP), Associate Chief Information Security Officer (A|CISO),  Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), FEMA CERT Member, Professional Project Manager (PMP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Federal/State/Local Government governace. She and her husband have been residents of West Dundee and have a daugther.

Dr. Holly McNeill M.A., Ed.D. is a retired educator with over 25 years of experience in the Elgin/South Elgin area. She is passionate about education, human rights, LGBTQI rights, and making sure our community is actively participating in taking care of each other.

Steve Whitecotton is a lifelong resident of Dundee Township. He is the retired Vice-President of Operations of Omni Commerical Group, Inc. Steve's experience in construction and project management allows him to lead the charge in preparing the Dundee Cares rooms.

Founding Member and 2024-2025 Board President

Trish Whitecotton is a lifelong resident of Dundee Township raising two daughters and enjoying her granddaughters. Trish is a retired teacher, principal and administrator for School District 300, where she spent her entire educational career.  Trish runs the day to day operations of the Dundee Cares Food Pantry with the generous help of our volunteers.
